Performance Marketing Lead – Full time – Glasgow HQ

itison is one of Scotland’s most influential consumer brands, uniting a market leading online platform, a portfolio of high-profile venues and some of the country’s largest and most creative live events including GlasGLOW and Elfingrove.

Our mission is simple. Life is about the experience and we’re here to help people live it better by connecting them to brilliant local businesses and unforgettable moments. We’re committed to being unique, bold and the best at what we do, while creating a positive impact in our local communities.

We’re looking for a Performance Marketing Lead to own performance across paid channels with a focus on Meta and TikTok. You’ll be creative-led, insight-driven, hands-on.

You’ll own the strategy, day-to-day execution and optimisation of our paid social activity, and you’ll be on the tools creating and iterating ads that drive results. Your mission is to build and iterate a paid social approach that brings structure to experimentation and turns data into consistent and repeatable performance marketing that drives growth.

You’ll report to our Head of Marketing, and work closely with our Social Media and Creative teams.

The role will be based full time in our Glasgow HQ.

What You’ll Do

Performance Social Ownership

  • Own strategy, budget, pacing, scaling and tracking for all social ads across itison Core, Events and Venues.

  • Build campaigns, manage delivery, optimise performance and scale winners.

  • Align spend to business priorities and our campaign calendar.

  • Maintain strong account hygiene (naming, structure, UTMs, tracking consistency).

Performance Creative Direction & Production

  • Set clear creative direction and standards for paid social and drive real diversification.

  • Create and iterate ads at pace using existing video and static creative, using tools like CapCut + Canva (Adobe preferred).

  • Use our content library, request capture with clear briefs/shot lists, and shoot what’s missing when needed.

Testing, Learning & Reporting

  • Build and maintain a repeatable testing roadmap with clear hypotheses.

  • Track performance signals and translate insights into next actions: scale / iterate / stop.

  • Deliver regular reporting that drives decisions - what happened, why, and what we do next (no vanity metrics).

Collaboration

  • Work alongside Social Media and Creative teams to improve our paid-ready pipeline and keep output consistent.

  • Give clear, direct feedback that improves quality and speed — without creating bottlenecks.

  • Operate with a senior mindset, effectively managing workflows across teams.

About You

You’re a creative-led performance marketer; someone who can see what’s working, explain why, and ship the next iteration fast.

  • Confident owning paid social across Meta and TikTok, including Ads Manager and Business Centers.

  • Strong creative instincts for performance: hooks, angles, pacing, proof, offers, CTAs and platform-native formats.

  • Hands-on production ability: CapCut + Canva are must-haves (Adobe preferred).

  • Experienced in wider performance activity channels including search and YouTube and managing agency relationships (preferred but not required).

  • Comfortable making decisions quickly and moving forward without overthinking.

  • Collaborative and clear - you can brief teams well and raise the bar through great feedback.

Key attributes we’ll hold you to:

  • Relentlessly accountable

  • Decisive under pressure

  • Fast, pragmatic thinker

  • Curious and experimental

Why itison
