Business Development Manager - Hospitality Specialist – Edinburgh

We’re looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager with a genuine passion for food and an in-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry to join our City Team, sourcing the very best in restaurant and bar offerings across their region.

 What you'll be doing 

Our City (Sales) Team is at the forefront of delivering growth for itison, responsible for driving double-digit growth every year through sourcing and negotiating incredible experiences in our local areas. 

As Business Development Manager, you'll be tracking down the very best hospitality offerings, hidden gems, and up-and-coming places in your region, and converting these businesses to work with itison. 

The role will be field-based/working from home with one day a week in our Glasgow HQ.

What’s the role? 

  • Hunting out amazing new experiences our members will love, every day 

  • Spotting and converting new business opportunities within hospitality, pitching to and negotiating with business owners/seniors face-to-face and over the phone 

  • Growing and developing your pipeline by building amazing relationships with key people, whilst coming up with smart strategies to grow your existing accounts.

  • A people person who’s a confident and engaging communicator and brilliant at building relationships

  • An exceptional developer of new business, with a proven track record and a hunger to be the best 

  • A skilled and tenacious negotiator who doesn’t give up easily and thrives under pressure 

  • A genuine passion for food and excellent knowledge of the hospitality scene in your area

  • Well connected within hospitality in your region and able to hit the ground running

  • Super-organised, adaptable, and used to managing your own time and workload 

  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and a team player – you’ll be personally accountable for your own targets, so you need to be independent, but also bring energy and positivity to the team
