Creative Marketing Manager

About the role and you

We’re known for bringing big ideas to life. We created the UK’s largest Halloween event in year one with GlasGLOW; we’ve donated over 800,000 meals to feed the homeless with Social Bite; our members have lunched with George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio and every day we aim to bring to life experiences and ideas that put smiles on our members faces.

During lockdown we pulled off the UK’s largest event, launched a premium restaurant delivery service and continued to help feed the most vulnerable through raising funds and cooking meals in our own venues.

We’re looking for a senior creative marketer or PR professional who is bursting with ideas to help lead our marketing team and drive our business and brand forward working directly with our CEO and senior team.

You’ll be brave and skilled in the art of ideation – bringing your own ideas to the party as well as being in charge of facilitating ideas in the marketing team. Ideas that bring joy, fun and commercial results. Ideas that resonate with our audiences, and ones you have the experience to deliver alongside a super talented team. This is not about gimmicky straplines, but great storytelling that captures the imagination.

Above all else, you’ll understand the power of a good idea.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • A track record of creating and delivering on amazing ideas. I think you’ll understand that by now.
  • A social first approach to launching campaigns and ideas.
  • Experience managing large social channels.
  • Experience managing, motivating and leading a small, but brilliant team with large resources.
  • Superb planning skills to plan campaigns and calendars of activity.
  • Ability to articulate your ideas through brilliant copy and amazing storytelling.
  • Strong experience working with and directing designers, videographers and other content creators to bring ideas to life.
  • Well-organised and able to manage challenging deadlines across multiple projects, with the ability to manage your workload and that of your team to drive results.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and well-accustomed to getting the job done in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Great knowledge and experience working in or alongside multiple disciplines such as events, PR, data reporting and digital advertising.
  • A brilliant ability to focus on the big picture of brand building as well as delve into the detail of campaign planning.
  • Get your sleeves rolled up and stuck in to lead by example. You’ll be delivering and creating content alongside the team. We’re not against using agencies, but the best ideas are homegrown and executed internally.
  • A passion for enjoying new experiences and a thirst for ideas.
  • A track record of creating and delivering ideas in a consumer world, ideally in hospitality, events or consumer brand settings.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be joining with a defined skillset. Within the world of marketing, PR and digital converging, it’s likely you’ll have had a career in the sort of consumer roles and levels below:

  • PR senior account manager / director
  • Social content creator / manager
  • Marketing manager
  • Digital marketing agency senior role
  • Senior event promoter

Due to Covid, we’re all working remotely for now, but ordinarily this role is based in our Glasgow HQ with the ability for flexible working arrangements.

Salary £38-£48k + benefits depending on experience
