Account Manager – Events & Attractions - Full time - Glasgow HQ

We’re looking for an ambitious, talented, and driven Account Manager that is tuned in to the best things happening across Scotland, to join our City team, sourcing the best must-do activities, attractions, and events across Scotland.

What you'll be doing  

Our City (Sales) Team is at the forefront of delivering growth for itison, responsible for driving double-digit growth every year through sourcing and negotiating incredible experiences in our local areas.  

As Account Manager, you'll manage and develop our existing event promoters and venues, and you will also be responsible for managing various attraction accounts across Scotland, from distilleries to farm parks.  

Alongside this, you will be tracking down the very best events, activities, and attractions and converting these businesses to work with itison. 

The role will be split between working in our Glasgow HQ and being out and about meeting with businesses. 

What’s the role?  

  • Growing and developing your pipeline by building amazing relationships with key people in the Events and Attractions industry, whilst coming up with smart strategies to grow your existing accounts. 

  • Hunting out amazing new experiences our members will love, every day  

  • Spotting and converting new business opportunities, pitching to and negotiating with business owners/seniors face-to-face and over the phone  

Skills & Experience  

  • Intelligent, professional, driven, and up for a challenge  

  • A people person who’s a confident and engaging communicator and brilliant at building relationships 

  • An exceptional developer of new business, with a proven track record and a hunger to be the best  

  • A skilled and tenacious negotiator who doesn’t give up easily and thrives under pressure  

  • A genuine passion for events & activities and excellent knowledge of the events market across Scotland 

  • Well-connected within the events industry especially with promoters and event organisers to be able to hit the ground running 

  • Super-organised, adaptable, and used to working at pace and managing your own time and workload  

  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and a team player – you’ll be personally accountable for your own targets, so you need to be independent, but also bring energy and positivity to the team
