Elfingrove - Ice Skating Team – skaters wanted! (Closing date Friday 5th November)

Calling all ice skaters... who’s ready to work on Scotland’s largest ice rink this Christmas?!

Our world-class events team are set to deliver the Elfingrove Ice Experience, and we'll be transforming the grounds of Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum!

We’re building a team who have excellent on-ice abilities, are enthusiastic, friendly, have great customer service skills, and the ability to work in a pressured environment to deliver the full Elfingrove Ice Experience package!

We have a number of fantastic roles including Ice Marshalls, Skate Hire, Ice Technician/Assistant, and Resurfacing Drivers available.

At itison, we believe life is about the experience, and we'd love you to be part of it.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for outgoing, passionate and talented people, who are proficient ice skaters and have an interest in or experience of major outdoor events, to join our seasonal ice team.

What you'll be doing

No matter which part of the ice rink area you're working in, your job will be to look after thousands of visitors attending each day/night and make sure they have a brilliant time.

You’ll be responsible for the safety of all visitors to the ice rink, the experienced and the not-so-experienced, but mainly ensuring the Ice Experience is fun and enjoyable for all. Training will be provided prior to the event.

Key skills for all roles

  • Ideally, you will possess Skate UK Level 2 or above, but if not, you must be a competent ice skater
  • Friendly, fun, and outgoing with a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Sensible, practical, and level-headed
  • Passionate about great customer service
  • Great under pressure
  • Experienced in outdoor events and always prepared for whatever weather Scotland throws at us
  • Adaptable and flexible to changes that need to be made on-site
  • Reliable, hardworking, and honest

Sound good? Get your skates on and apply... we'd love to hear from you!
